Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of TBK1 only when phosphorylated at Ser172.
Target Information
TBK1 (TANK-binding kinase 1) is a serine/threonine kinase belonging to the IKK family, involved in NF-kappa B activation and IRF3 signaling. It plays a key role in immune and inflammatory response regulation.
Phosphorylation of I-KB by the IKK complex leads to NF-kB activation. TBK1, also known as NAK (NF-kB-activating kinase) or T2K, activates IKK beta through direct phosphorylation and functions upstream of NIK and the IKK complex. TBK1 is also critical for protecting embryonic liver cells from apoptosis.
