Target Information

ACKR1 (also known as DARC) is an atypical chemokine receptor that regulates chemokine levels and localization through high-affinity binding, independent of classical signal transduction. It functions in chemokine sequestration, degradation, and transcytosis.
ACKR1 interacts with inflammatory chemokines of both CXC and CC subfamilies, excluding homeostatic chemokines. It also serves as a receptor for chemokines such as CCL2, CCL5, CCL7, CCL11, CCL13, CCL14, CCL17, CXCL5, CXCL6, IL8/CXCL8, CXCL11, GRO, RANTES, MCP-1, TARC, and for malaria parasites P. vivax and P. knowlesi.
