Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. Antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and screened to select optimal clones for production.

Target Information

Carbonic anhydrases are zinc metalloenzymes that catalyze the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide. They are involved in various biological processes such as respiration, calcification, acid-base balance, bone resorption, and the formation of aqueous humor, cerebrospinal fluid, saliva, and gastric acid.

The gene encoding Carbonic Anhydrase IV produces a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored membrane isozyme expressed on the luminal surfaces of pulmonary capillaries and proximal renal tubules. Although its exact function is not fully understood, it may play a role in inherited renal bicarbonate transport abnormalities.
