Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned, and individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
Within the cell, DNA associates with histones and other nuclear proteins to form chromatin. Chromatin remodeling is essential for transcriptional regulation, and histone acetylation plays a major role in this process by increasing DNA accessibility to transcription factors.
Histone deacetylases (HDACs), including HDAC1–9, reverse this acetylation and are associated with transcriptional silencing. HDAC9 and HDAC9a are alternatively spliced isoforms; HDAC9a is 132 amino acids shorter but retains catalytic activity. Both isoforms repress myocyte enhancer-binding factor 2-mediated transcription and are expressed in brain, skeletal muscle, kidney, placenta, and pancreas.
