Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
Transglutaminase (TGase) catalyzes the crosslinking of proteins by forming ε-(γ-glutamyl) lysine isopeptide bonds, requiring Ca²⁺ for activity. In mammals, eight TGase isoenzymes exist. Tissue transglutaminase (tTGase or TGase 2) has four domains: N-terminal β-sandwich, catalytic core, and two C-terminal β-barrel domains.
tTGase is implicated in:
- Cell death, proliferation, and differentiation
- Receptor-mediated endocytosis
- Alzheimer’s disease pathology through polymerization of proteins such as Aβ peptide, β-amyloid precursor protein, and tau, leading to neurofibrillary tangle formation
