Target Information
Medea는 초파리(Drosophila melanogaster)에서 발견된 최초의 두 Smad 유전자 중 하나입니다. 이 유전자는 모계 효과 치사(maternal effect lethality)를 기반으로 명명되었으며, decapentaplegic 이형접합 자손의 치사를 유발하는 돌연변이를 찾기 위한 유전적 스크리닝에서 Medea와 Mothers against dpp가 함께 확인되었습니다.
