Laminin beta-3는 basement membrane 단백질인 laminin 패밀리에 속하는 단백질로, alpha 및 gamma 서브유닛과 함께 laminin-5를 형성합니다.
이 유전자의 변이는 epidermolysis bullosa junctional Herlitz type 및 generalized atrophic benign epidermolysis bullosa와 같은 피부 수포성 질환을 유발합니다.
여러 가지 alternative splicing 변형이 보고되었으며, 동일한 단백질을 암호화합니다.
