Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, an additional desalting step is recommended (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The SF3A1 gene encodes subunit 1 of the splicing factor 3a protein complex, which includes subunits 1, 2, and 3. This complex is essential for the in vitro conversion of 15S U2 snRNP into an active 17S particle responsible for pre-mRNA splicing.
Subunit 1 belongs to the SURP protein family, containing tandemly repeated SURP motifs that mediate RNA binding, a proline-rich region, and a ubiquitin-like domain.
Binding studies indicate that the two SURP motifs are necessary for interaction with subunit 3, while contacts with subunit 2 occur through sequences located C-terminal to these motifs.
Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
