Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
PAK4 is a serine/threonine p21-activating kinase involved in actin cytoskeleton reorganization and filopodia formation.
PAK family proteins are divided into two groups:
- Group I: PAK1, PAK2, PAK3 (activated by Cdc42/Rac binding)
- Group II: PAK4, PAK5, PAK6 (not activated by Cdc42/Rac binding)
PAK4 acts as a novel effector of Cdc42Hs, inducing filopodia formation and actin polymerization, and is essential for embryonic viability and neuronal development. It also plays a role in anchorage-independent tumor cell growth and activation of cancer prosurvival pathways.
