Product Specific Information
- PA1-186 has been successfully used in WB using StartingBlock T20 (TBS) Blocking Buffer (Product #37543).
- Non-specific bands may appear when using 5% BSA for blocking.
- Detects a predominant band at 65 kDa; additional nonspecific bands (~120 kDa and ~50 kDa) may appear with increased lysate loading.
- Suitable for IP of NF-kB p65 subunit and co-IP of NF-kB p50 subunit.
Target Information
Nuclear factor kB p65 (NF-kB p65) is encoded by the RELA gene located on chromosome 11 in humans. Also known as RelA, it belongs to the Rel family of proteins and forms heterodimers with p50 or p52 subunits. NF-kB plays a key role in the transcription of immunoglobulin kappa (κ) gene in mature B-lymphoid cells. Activation occurs via TNFα receptor-mediated phosphorylation of IKK, leading to IκB degradation and NF-kB nuclear translocation.
