Product Specific Information
These polyclonal antibodies are of rabbit origin, developed by immunizing animals with specific proteins or peptides. The antibody is purified by affinity chromatography from rabbit sera and validated for functionality in multiple research applications.
Antibody 720092 was used in western blot to successfully detect H3K9me2 in acid-extracted histones from human cells.
Since H3K9me2 is conserved across species, the antibody may react with other species as well.
Target Information
Histone H3 is a DNA-binding protein found in the chromatin of all eukaryotic cells. Together with other core histones, it forms the nucleosome structure that organizes DNA. Histones are key regulators of transcription, DNA repair, replication, and chromosomal stability.
The N-terminal tail of histone H3 can undergo various post-translational modifications such as methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation, influencing chromatin structure and gene expression.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures or resale without authorization.
