E-Selectin (CL2)은 인간 유래 E-Selectin에 대해 제작된 마우스 단클론 항체입니다.
CL2 클론은 백혈구의 E-selectin 결합을 차단하지만 CL37은 그렇지 않습니다.
E-selectin은 selectin 패밀리에 속하며, L-selectin 및 P-selectin과 함께 백혈구와 혈소판이 내피세포와 초기 상호작용을 매개합니다.
모든 selectin의 세포외 구조는 탄수화물 리간드에 결합하는 C-형 렉틴 도메인, EGF 유사 도메인, 그리고 E-selectin의 경우 6개의 짧은 반복 서열로 구성됩니다. 세포막 부분 뒤에는 짧은 세포질 꼬리가 이어집니다.
E-selectin은 염증 부위로 다형핵 백혈구를 유도하여 내피층과 느슨한 접촉을 형성합니다. P-selectin과 함께, E-selectin은 사이토카인에 의해 활성화된 내피세포에서 발현되어 백혈구의 부착에 기여합니다.
활성화 후 2–4시간 내에 최대 발현되며, 24–48시간 내에 세포막에서 제거되어 순환계로 방출됩니다.

백혈구는 림프절의 모세정맥 후세정맥(endothelium)에서 혈관 내피에 부착하여 조직으로 이동합니다. 염증 발생 시, 이러한 부착은 전신의 모세혈관 및 세정맥에서도 일어납니다.
이 과정에는 selectin 및 immunoglobulin 초가족 수용체가 관여하며, selectin은 백혈구의 내피 부착을 매개하는 C-형 렉틴 단백질입니다.
E-selectin(CD62E)은 내피세포 특이적 selectin으로, 염증성 사이토카인 자극 후에만 발현됩니다.
IL-1, TNFα, LPS 등은 NF-κB 의존적 신호 경로를 통해 E-selectin 전사를 유도합니다.
E-selectin은 다양한 염증 상황에서 혈관 내피와 연관되어 있습니다.
