Target Information
As part of the KICSTOR complex, functions in the amino acid-sensing branch of the TORC1 signaling pathway.
Recruits the GATOR1 complex to lysosomal membranes, enabling interaction with GATOR2 and RAG GTPases.
Functions upstream of RAG GTPases and negatively regulates mTORC1 signaling in absence of amino acids.
In absence of the KICSTOR complex, mTORC1 remains constitutively localized and activated at lysosomes.
The KICSTOR complex may also be involved in glucose-mediated mTORC1 regulation.
