CAMK1 (CaMK1) is a serine/threonine kinase belonging to the calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase family. It plays a role in:

CAMK1 is expressed in various tissues and functions within a calmodulin-dependent kinase cascade. Calcium/calmodulin activates CAMK1 directly and indirectly enhances its phosphorylation and activation via CaMKI kinase.
