Antibody detects endogenous levels of IL-10R alpha only when phosphorylated at Tyrosine 496.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a receptor for interleukin 10. It is structurally related to interferon receptors and mediates the immunosuppressive signal of interleukin 10, inhibiting the synthesis of proinflammatory cytokines. This receptor promotes survival of progenitor myeloid cells through the IRS-2/PI3K/AKT pathway and activates JAK1 and TYK2 kinases via tyrosine phosphorylation. Two transcript variants have been identified: one protein-coding and one non-coding.
