This antibody detects endogenous levels of G3BP-1 only when phosphorylated at Serine 232.
Target Information
This gene encodes one of the DNA-unwinding enzymes that prefers partially unwound 3'-tailed substrates and can also unwind partial RNA/DNA and RNA/RNA duplexes in an ATP-dependent manner. It belongs to the heterogeneous nuclear RNA-binding protein family and is involved in the Ras signal transduction pathway by binding specifically to the Ras-GTPase-activating protein via its SH3 domain. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described, though the full-length nature of some remains undetermined.
