Target Information
MAPK7 (ERK5) serine/threonine kinase는 MAP kinase 계열의 단백질로, 세포 증식, 분화, 전사 조절 및 발달 등 다양한 세포 과정에 관여합니다. MAPK7은 MAP2K5/MEK5에 의해 활성화되며, 다양한 수용체의 하위 신호전달 과정에 참여합니다. 세포 외 신호에 반응하여 MAPK7은 핵으로 이동하여 여러 전사 인자를 인산화 및 활성화함으로써 유전자 발현을 조절합니다. 마우스에서 MAPK7 유전자가 결실되면 혈관 및 심장 발달 이상으로 배아 치사 현상이 발생합니다. 또한 MAPK7은 내피세포 기능 유지와 혈관 무결성에 필수적인 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 이 유전자는 두 가지 주요 아이소폼을 암호화하는 네 가지 전사 변이체를 가지며, ERK5는 심장, 태반, 폐, 신장 및 골격근에서 풍부하게 발현되지만 간에서는 거의 검출되지 않습니다.
