Target Information
MAPK7 (ERK5) serine/threonine kinase는 MAP kinase 계열 단백질로, 세포 증식, 분화, 전사 조절 및 발달 등 다양한 세포 과정에 관여합니다. MAP2K5(MEK5)에 의해 활성화되며, 여러 수용체의 하위 신호전달 과정에 참여합니다. 외부 신호에 반응하여 핵으로 이동해 다양한 전사인자를 인산화 및 활성화함으로써 유전자 발현을 조절합니다.
MAPK7 유전자 결실 마우스는 혈관 및 심장 발달 이상으로 배아 치사 현상을 보이며, 혈관 내피 기능 유지에 필수적인 역할을 합니다.
ERK5는 심장, 태반, 폐, 신장, 골격근 등에서 풍부하게 발현되며, 간에서는 거의 검출되지 않습니다. 4개의 alternative splicing 전사 변이가 보고되어 있으며, 두 가지 주요 isoform을 형성합니다.
