Product Specific Information

This antibody is predicted to react with Monkey and Rabbit.

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems clone specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, and individual clones are screened for optimal performance.

Advantages include:

  • High specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulation
  • Broader immunoreactivity due to the rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

High-density lipoproteins (HDLs) play a critical role in cholesterol metabolism, with plasma concentrations inversely correlated with atherosclerosis risk.
SR-BI and SR-BII are alternatively spliced products of a single gene. SR-BII differs from SR-BI in the C-terminal cytoplasmic domain and binds HDL with approximately 4-fold lower efficiency.

SR-BII is abundant in mouse tissues expressing SR-BI, including liver, adrenal glands, and testes. It may function as an HDL receptor mediating selective lipid transfer between HDL and cells. The relative expression of SR-BI and SR-BII provides a mechanism for regulating lipid transfer.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
