Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The SLC27A4 gene encodes a fatty acid transport protein involved in the translocation of long-chain fatty acids across the plasma membrane. It is highly expressed on the apical side of mature enterocytes in the small intestine and functions as a principal fatty acid transporter in enterocytes. This gene has been implicated as a candidate in insulin resistance syndrome, and mutations are associated with ichthyosis prematurity syndrome.
