Target Information
MAP1A and MAP1B are microtubule-associated proteins mediating interactions between microtubules and cytoskeletal components.
Each consists of a heavy chain and multiple light chain subunits.
The MAP1LC3A gene encodes one of these light chain subunits, which can associate with either MAP1A or MAP1B.
Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
