Target Information
The nuclear envelope forms distinct nuclear and cytoplasmic compartments in eukaryotic cells. It consists of two concentric membranes perforated by nuclear pores that regulate macromolecule transport. These pores are composed of over 100 subunits, many of which are nucleoporins. NUP54 belongs to the phe-gly repeat-containing nucleoporin subset.
