This antibody detects endogenous levels of total CCL22.
Target Information
CCL22 may play a role in the trafficking of activated or effector T-lymphocytes to inflammatory sites and in other aspects of activated T-lymphocyte physiology. It is chemotactic for monocytes, dendritic cells, and natural killer cells.
CCL22 acts as a mild chemoattractant for primary activated T-lymphocytes and a potent chemoattractant for chronically activated T-lymphocytes, but shows no chemotactic activity for neutrophils, eosinophils, or resting T-lymphocytes.
It binds to CCR4.
