Product Specific Information
- Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration.
- For extended storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C or below.
- Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
- Centrifuge if not clear after standing at room temperature.
- Stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid.
- Dilute immediately before use.
- Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-fluorescein, anti-Goat Serum, and purified and partially purified Protein A.
Target Information
Protein A is an Orphan-U GPCR with an unknown ligand. It was identified from genomic analysis of a gene-dense region at human chromosome 12p13 and appears to be expressed mainly in the brain. Its function remains unknown. Three alternatively spliced variants have been described; the full length of the third variant is yet to be determined.
