Target Information
Vinculin (VCL)은 세포 간 및 세포-세포외기질 접착 부위(adherens junction)에 관련된 세포골격 단백질입니다. F-actin을 세포막에 고정시키는 여러 상호작용 단백질 중 하나로 작용하며, integrin의 β 서브유닛, talin, α-actinin과 상호작용하여 접착판(adhesion plaque)의 형성을 매개합니다. α-actinin이 actin 필라멘트를 교차 연결하기 때문에, vinculin은 세포외기질과 세포질 미세필라멘트 시스템을 연결하는 핵심 요소로 작용합니다. VCL 유전자의 돌연변이는 확장성 심근병증 1W 또는 가족성 비후성 심근병증 15를 유발할 수 있습니다.
