Product Specific Information

The PC61.5 antibody reacts with mouse CD25, the 55 kDa interleukin-2 receptor alpha chain (IL-2Rα). CD25 is expressed by early progenitors of the T and B lineage and activated mature lymphocytes. It binds IL-2 with low affinity but forms a high-affinity receptor when associated with CD122 and CD132. Binding of IL-2 to both receptor classes is inhibited by PC61.5 antibody. CD25 plays a role in lymphocyte differentiation and activation.

Applications Tested: Tested on mouse splenocytes; ≤0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimize empirically for best performance.

Light Sensitivity: Tandem dye sensitive to photo-induced oxidation; protect from light.
Fixation: Samples may be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-822-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal brightness loss.

Target Information

CD25 (IL2 receptor alpha chain / IL2RA) is a cytokine receptor involved in T and B lymphocyte proliferation. The IL2 receptor complex (IL2RA, IL2RB, IL2RG) forms high-affinity binding sites for IL-2. Homodimeric IL2RA and IL2RB chains result in low- and medium-affinity receptors, respectively. IL2 is primarily produced by mature T cells and functions as a growth and differentiation factor. Mutations in IL2RA are associated with interleukin-2 receptor alpha deficiency and immune dysregulation.
