  • Reconstitute antibody with 50 µL of double distilled water (DDW).

Target Information

Epithelial sodium channels (ENaC) are amiloride-sensitive members of the Degenerin/epithelial sodium channel (Deg/ENaC) superfamily of ion channels. These channels possess two short intracellular termini, two transmembrane segments, and a large extracellular loop with a conserved cysteine-rich region.
ENaC isoforms (α, β, γ) are expressed in kidney, lung, and colon, playing a key role in sodium and fluid balance. They mediate aldosterone-dependent sodium reabsorption in the distal nephron, regulating blood pressure.
Association with CFTR chloride channels contributes to regulation.
Mutations in ENaC subunits can lead to disorders such as Liddle’s syndrome (gain-of-function) or pseudohypoaldosteronism type 1 (loss-of-function).
