They are composed of multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, combining the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity of monoclonal antibodies, while maintaining lot-to-lot consistency.

Functionally equivalent to polyclonal antibodies—recognizing multiple epitope sites and providing higher sensitivity for low-abundance targets—these antibodies have defined light and heavy chain populations that can be consistently reproduced.

Note: Formerly called “Recombinant Polyclonal Antibody”, now rebranded as “Recombinant Superclonal™ Antibody”. The physical product and performance remain unchanged.

Target Information

Histone demethylase that specifically demethylates Lys-9 of histone H3, thereby playing a role in the histone code. It does not demethylate H3 Lys-4, H3 Lys-27, H3 Lys-36, or H4 Lys-20. Only demethylates trimethylated H3 Lys-9, with weaker activity than KDM4A, KDM4C, and KDM4D. Demethylation of Lys residues generates formaldehyde and succinate. [UniProt]
