Product Specific Information
This antibody is predicted to react with Mouse, Rat, and Bovine.
Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They combine multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, providing both the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies and the specificity of monoclonal antibodies, with the consistency of recombinant production.
While functionally similar to polyclonal antibodies—recognizing multiple epitope sites on the target and offering higher detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets—a recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibody has a defined mixture of light and heavy chains that can be reproduced in every lot, eliminating biological variability.
Note: Formerly called “Recombinant Polyclonal Antibody,” now rebranded as “Recombinant Superclonal™ Antibody.” The product and performance remain unchanged.
Target Information
PINK1 (PTEN-induced putative kinase 1) protects cells from mitochondrial dysfunction by regulating autophosphorylation activity of mitochondrial genes. The kinase domain of PINK1 is essential for its protective role.
Mitochondrial proteins regulate cellular energy and stress adaptation, particularly in brain cells with high energy demands. Disruption of mitochondrial structure or function in the brain is linked to neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s disease.
