분자 샤페론으로서 변성된 단백질을 접힘 가능한 상태로 유지하며, 스트레스 저항성과 액틴 구조 유지에 기여합니다.
또한 신경섬유 단백질의 인산화 및 축삭 수송을 조절하며, 유전자 변이는 Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease 2F 및 Neuronopathy distal hereditary motor 2B와 관련됩니다.
