Target Information

DR3 (TNFRSF25) is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily, expressed primarily in lymphocyte-rich tissues. It plays a role in regulating lymphocyte homeostasis, stimulating NF-κB activity, and controlling apoptosis. Signal transduction is mediated by death domain-containing adaptor proteins. Knockout studies in mice suggest DR3/TNFRSF25 is involved in the removal of self-reactive T cells in the thymus. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants exist, many of which encode secreted isoforms. In activated T cells, alternative splicing shifts toward full-length, membrane-bound isoforms, potentially regulating lymphocyte proliferation.
