This chimeric antibody contains rabbit variable heavy and light chains with mouse constant domains. It recognizes human, mouse, and rat Parkin protein. The antibody is detected by anti-mouse secondary antibodies and shows no cross-reactivity with anti-rabbit secondary antibodies.
Careful titration is recommended for optimal assay performance.
Target Information
The Parkin gene encodes a protein that is part of a multiprotein E3 ubiquitin ligase complex involved in proteasomal degradation of substrate proteins. Mutations in this gene are associated with Parkinson disease and autosomal recessive juvenile Parkinson disease. Multiple transcript variants and splice isoforms have been reported.
