E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase involved in Golgi membrane fusion and regulation of small GTPases.
It regulates Golgi membrane dynamics during the cell cycle by interacting with Rab proteins and mediating ubiquitination during mitotic Golgi disassembly.
Specifically interacts with GTP-bound RAC1, leading to its ubiquitination and degradation, contributing to host defense mechanisms.
May also act as a transcription regulator via interaction with RARB.
