Target Information
VPS35 belongs to the vacuolar protein sorting (VPS) gene family. The encoded protein is a component of the retromer complex, which mediates retrograde transport of proteins from endosomes to the trans-Golgi network. Structural similarity between yeast and human retromer components suggests conserved function. Expression studies show VPS35 serves as the core of this complex.
