Target Information
Caveolin-3 (CAV3)는 caveolar membrane 내에서 scaffolding protein으로 작용하며, G-protein α subunits와 직접 상호작용하여 그들의 활성을 조절할 수 있습니다. 또한 voltage-gated potassium channels의 조절에 관여하며, 골격근 및 심근세포의 sarcolemma repair 메커니즘에서 중요한 역할을 합니다. Caveolin-3는 CAVIN2 및 CAVIN3 단백질을 caveolae로 모집하는 기능도 수행합니다.
CAV3 유전자 변이는 HyperCKmia, rippling muscle disease 2, cardiomyopathy, long QT syndrome 9, sudden infant death syndrome, 그리고 myopathy를 유발할 수 있습니다.
