Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of SGK2 only when phosphorylated at Thr253.
Target Information
SGK2 (Serum/Glucocorticoid Regulated Kinase 2) is a serine/threonine protein kinase similar to SGK. Unlike SGK, SGK2 is not induced by serum or glucocorticoids but is activated by signals involving phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase. SGK2 can be phosphorylated and activated by PDK1 and, to a lesser extent, by insulin-like growth factor 1 in vitro.
