This YKIX334.2 monoclonal antibody reacts with canine major histocompatibility complex (MHC) Class II.
MHC plays a key role in immunity by presenting self and non-self antigens to T cells. In dogs, MHC Class II is expressed on T and B cells, macrophages, fibroblasts, and kidney interstitial cells.

This antibody has been reported to inhibit mixed lymphocyte reactions and T cell activation induced by MHC Class II antigen presentation in vitro.
Recognition of MHC Class II by YKIX334.2 is not allele-specific.

A test is defined as the amount (µg) of antibody that stains a cell sample in 100 µL final volume. Cell number can range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test.

Target Information

MHC Class II molecules are transmembrane glycoproteins expressed on antigen-presenting cells such as macrophages, dendritic cells, and B cells.
They bind exogenous antigens and present them to T cells.
The antigen-binding groove between the alpha and beta chains is open at both ends and accommodates peptides 15–24 amino acids long.

HLA and MHC antibodies are essential in Immunopeptidomics, enabling identification and characterization of neoantigens via LC-MS/MS.
