The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).

Target Information

Dectin-2 is a C-type lectin expressed by dendritic cells, macrophages, and inflammatory monocytes. It acts as a type II membrane receptor with a short cytoplasmic tail and a C-terminal C-type lectin domain.
Dectin-2 recognizes high mannose structures and mediates cytokine production from dendritic cells and other antigen-presenting cells. Although it lacks obvious signaling motifs, it employs FcRγ for internalization and activation of the NF-κB pathway.
Despite sharing only 20–25% homology with Dectin-1, Dectin-2 functions similarly as a pattern recognition receptor (PRR) for fungal infections, activating both innate (Syk–CARD9 pathway) and adaptive immune responses. It serves as a connector molecule between innate and adaptive immunity at the dendritic cell level.
