LMX1B (LIM homeobox transcription factor 1B)는 LIM-homeodomain family에 속하며, 배아 발생 중 패턴 형성에 중요한 역할을 합니다. LMX1B는 중뇌-후뇌 패턴 형성을 조절하며, LMX1B 결손 마우스 배아는 중뇌 도파민성 뉴런 수가 현저히 감소합니다. LMX1A와 LMX1B는 협력적으로 도파민성 신경 전구세포의 증식, 특이화 및 분화를 조절합니다.
