This antibody detects endogenous levels of Tri-Methyl-Histone H3 only when methylated at Lys14.

Target Information

Histone H3 is one of the DNA-binding proteins found in the chromatin of all eukaryotic cells. Together with other core histone proteins, it forms the nucleosome structure by binding to DNA. Histones play a central role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, replication, and chromosomal stability. Post-translational modifications of histones, such as methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation, influence chromatin structure and gene expression by altering DNA accessibility or recruiting transcription factors.
