Target Information
TRPC1 is thought to form a receptor-activated, non-selective calcium-permeant cation channel.
It likely operates via a phosphatidylinositol second messenger system activated by receptor tyrosine kinases or G-protein coupled receptors.
It may also be activated by intracellular calcium store depletion and interacts with ITPR3.
TRPC1 appears to be ubiquitously expressed.
