Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
AK6 is a broad-specificity nucleoside monophosphate (NMP) kinase that catalyzes the reversible transfer of the terminal phosphate group between nucleoside triphosphates and monophosphates. AMP and dAMP are the preferred substrates, while CMP and dCMP are also good substrates. IMP is phosphorylated to a much lesser extent. All nucleoside triphosphates (ATP, GTP, UTP, CTP, dATP, dCTP, dGTP, and TTP) can serve as phosphate donors, with CTP being the most efficient donor. AK6 may play a role in nuclear energy homeostasis and has ATPase activity. It may also be involved in the regulation of Cajal body (CB) formation.
