Target Information
XRCC1 (X-ray cross complementing factor-1)는 DNA 염기 절제 복구(Base Excision Repair)에 관여하는 단백질입니다.
약 70 kDa 크기의 XRCC1은 poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP), DNA Ligase III, DNA polymerase β 등과 물리적으로 결합되어 있습니다.
XRCC1은 BRCT (BRCA1 carboxyl terminus) 도메인을 포함하며, 이 도메인은 원래 종양 억제 단백질 BRCA1에서 발견되었습니다.
최근 연구에서 BRCT 도메인이 XRCC1과 DNA ligase III-α 간의 단백질-단백질 상호작용을 매개함이 밝혀졌습니다.
