Target Information
Mammalian Sin3 (mSin3) is a 150 kDa protein closely related to the yeast SIN3 repressor protein involved in transcriptional repression of many genes. There are two mammalian isoforms, mSin3A and mSin3B. Both contain 4 paired amphipathic helix (PAH) domains and directly interact with transcriptional repressor proteins such as HDAC1, HDAC2, RbAp46, MeCP2, Mad/Max heterodimer, SMRT, and N-CoR.
