Target Information
Mammalian Sin3 (mSin3) is a 150 kDa protein closely related to the yeast SIN3 repressor protein involved in transcriptional repression of many genes. Two mammalian isoforms, mSin3A and mSin3B, contain four paired amphipathic helix (PAH) domains. These isoforms interact directly with transcriptional repressor proteins such as HDAC1, HDAC2, RbAp46, MeCP2, Mad/Max heterodimer, SMRT, and N-CoR.
