Target Information
Mammalian Sin3 (mSin3) is a 150 kDa protein closely related to the yeast SIN3 repressor protein involved in transcriptional repression of many genes. Two mammalian isoforms, mSin3A and mSin3B, exist. Containing four paired amphipathic helix (PAH) domains, mSin3A and mSin3B interact with transcriptional repressors such as HDAC1, HDAC2, RbAp46, MeCP2, Mad/Max heterodimer, SMRT, and N-CoR.
