• Reconstitution: Add 50 µL or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
• The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature.
• Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
• Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week.
• For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C.
• Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
• Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

This gene encodes the receptor for type 1 gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH). It belongs to the seven-transmembrane G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) family and is expressed on the surface of pituitary gonadotrope cells, lymphocytes, breast, ovary, and prostate tissues.
Upon GnRH binding, the receptor activates G-proteins that trigger a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system, leading to the release of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH).
Mutations in this gene can cause hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (HH). Multiple transcript variants and isoforms exist due to alternative splicing, with over 18 transcription initiation sites and multiple polyA signals identified.
