Product Specific Information
Reconstitution: Add 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody is shipped as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer storage, aliquot and store at -20°C.
Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).
Target Information
Growth hormone secretagogue receptor 1a (GHSR) is a G-protein coupled receptor involved in energy homeostasis and body weight regulation. Two transcript variants are expressed in multiple tissues and conserved across species.
- Transcript 1a encodes the functional receptor for Ghrelin, mediating growth hormone release.
- Transcript 1b retains an intron and may modulate isoform 1a activity.
Mutations in GHSR can lead to isolated partial growth hormone deficiency.
