Reconstitution: Add 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW) depending on the sample size.
The antibody is shipped as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For long-term storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C.
Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

GIPR encodes a G-protein coupled receptor for gastric inhibitory polypeptide (GIP), originally identified as an activity in gut extracts that inhibited gastric acid secretion and gastrin release, later shown to stimulate insulin release in the presence of elevated glucose.
Mice lacking this gene show higher blood glucose levels and impaired initial insulin response after oral glucose load.
Defects in this gene may contribute to the pathogenesis of diabetes.
