Target Information
TROP2 is a carcinoma-associated antigen defined by the monoclonal antibody GA733. It is a member of a family of type I membrane proteins that transduce intracellular calcium signals and act as cell surface receptors. Mutations in the TROP2 gene can result in gelatinous drop-like corneal dystrophy, an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by severe corneal amyloidosis leading to blindness.
